Holiday 2007

December 2007

Dear Family & Friends,

It seems hard to believe that it is already time for Christmas again. We look forward to hearing from many of you, and hope that you've had a great year. Here is our family update and a few highlights of 2007:

Patrick will turn eight this spring. He's enjoying second grade and has a lot of fun building new vehicles with Legos. He played a lot of soccer this year and he's excited to try snowboarding again this winter. I think I need to start looking for a community education class on Do It Yourself Stitches and Casts.

Maren will be turning 6 in January. We're not sure anyone has loved kindergarten more! We have a hard time keeping enough books around; she has the whole stack read several times by the time we make another trip to the library. She is still our songbird and recently did a solo part in the annual Primary program.

Henry is growing up faster than we would like. He's already 18 months old and keeps us busy. His first word was "Me!"…maybe not a good sign for a redhead whose name means "Home Ruler". Everything is exciting at this age, and we've had fun watching his reactions to all the Christmas lights and décor. Christmas morning will be quite the party!

Henry will likely be dethroned this spring as we are expecting No. 4 in early April. The doctor tells us it is another boy. We feel very blessed to have another child coming to our home, even though the thought of one more is sometimes daunting; our house gets chaotic enough.

Greg and I are doing well. We celebrated our 10th anniversary this fall with a trip to the Northeast. We went back to Boston for a couple of days, saw some friends at a class reunion, then camped through New Hampshire and Maine, ending in Acadia National Park. We had a lot of fun hiking, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and just being alone together! We're not sure if we had more fun on the trip, or the kids had more fun spending the week with Grandma and Aunt Elise.

We are looking forward to another busy year in 2008. Life is full…hectic, joyful, frustrating, humbling, exciting, uncertain, and…wonderful. We wish only the best for you this coming year. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Love,

Greg, Hailey, Patrick, Maren, Henry & ?
